Published Friday, April 30, 2010
This Saturday, general entry will open for Ironman Australia/Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie and Ironman New Zealand. Following the sell-out of Ironman Western Australia on Monday, interest in both events has intensified.
Following the sudden sell-out of Ironman Western Australia on Monday, race organisers are urging anyone who has booked accommodation or travel to this event - based on the assumption of securing an entry position - to sign up as early as possible at IronmanAustralia.com on Saturday to avoid disappointment.
Like the Ironman Western Australia event, Ironman Australia and Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie will not have a waiting list. Please pass this information on to friends, family and club members, to ensure everyone has a shot at entering.
Ironman Australia will offer 1000 entry places, while Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie will offer 500 entry places.
If you do happen to miss out on Ironman Australia, please consider the Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie event, which will be held on the same day and same course, commencing two hours later in the day.
