Ironman 70.3 Japan General Entry Sold Out Twelve hours was all it took for the inaugural Ironman 70.3 Centrair Tokoname Japan event to sell out on Tuesday, with huge interest coming in from all over Japan and the world for Ironman 70.3's Japanese premiere on Sunday, September 19.

Situated near the city of Nagoya – the third largest incorporated city in Japan - the race unfolds around the Tokoname City precinct surrounding the Centrair International Airport, a spacious and scenic area south of the city.

The Centrair International Airport will act as the activity hub of the race course that will traverse the Tokoname City and surrounding environs. The event expo, race office and awards banquet will be located inside the airport terminal itself, offering what will be a unique Ironman 70.3 experience for athletes and fans alike.

Crawford and Ceepo Continue Winning Ways

After a year out from the sport of Ironman Gina Crawford (pictured on her way to setting a new course record at Ironman Wisconsin in 2010) is back. She took the 2011 year off of racing to have her first child, Benji, with husband Brett. She will be racing world wide again this year with her focus firmly on returning to Kona for the Ironman World Championship in October. Crawford is very happy to announce that she will be riding Ceepo, the official bike partner of Ironman, once again. Ceepo has provided Gina with the winning ride for eight of her nine full-distance titles. Joe Tanaka (Ceepo's founder) and his team have been one of the greatest supporters in her post-baby Ironman come back quest.
