The Ironman 70.3 race series ventures to USA's Midwestern state of Kansas for the fourth edition of K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 Kansas on Sunday. The city of Lawrence, Kansas, which is located in the northeast region of the farming state, will host over 1,400 athletes for this weekend's race and also attracted a solid field of professionals. This Sunday, June 6, more than 2,000 professional and age group athletes will take part in the 2010 K-Swiss Ironman 70.3 Kansas Triathlon. A professional field consisting of some of the sport's top contenders will vie for the title including defending champion and current Ironman World Champion, Chrissie Wellington, along with Chris Lieto, who placed second at the 2009 Ford Ironman World Championship and Andy Potts, an Olympian and 2007 Ironman 70.3 World Champion.
