Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Austin takes place in Austin, Texas and the surrounding areas east of downtown. With $25,000 in prize money and 50 qualifying spots for the 2010 Ironman World Championship 70.3, expect a highly competitive race.

The 1.2 mile freshwater swim is in Decker Lake at Walter E. Long Park. The bike is a 56 mile spectacular, scenic one-loop course through rolling Texas farmland, past sprawling ranches, longhorns, horse farms, cedar-covered vistas, sunflower fields and prickly pear cacti. See why this is part of the big sky country.

On the run, see why Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World! Live, local entertainment will keep the endorphins coursing through your veins, as you rock out on the 13.1 mile run course! The run is a two-loop course meandering through Walter E. Long Park, along the shores of Decker Lake and through the Travis County Expo Center grounds. Roughly two miles are on knee-friendly grass roads, while the remainder of the course is on asphalt roads. Prepare for QUADZILLA, the hill of truth! The course is completely closed to traffic.
