Race Week: The Final 7 Days to Your Best Triathlon Whether you're getting ready for your first triathlon or gearing up for an annual trip to Hawaii for the Ford Ironman World Championship, you'll likely learn something by reading Paul Regensburg's new book, "Race Week: The Final 7 Days to Your Best Triathlon."

Published by Meyer and Meyer Sport, Regensburg’s book will guide you through your final week of race preparation. Regensburg is one of the head coaches with LifeSport Coaching and has worked with athletes at Olympic, Commonwealth and Pan American Games, not to mention countless Ironman events.

The book features material and systems that have been developed through Regensburg’s work with all those athletes. Tips include insights on final workouts, nutrition, equipment selection and mental rehearsals. For those who are on the road for their event, the book includes chapters on travel and strategies for dealing with the event environment before the race.

Regensburg also includes some very helpful tips on how your race day approach, too. There are sections on warm-ups, pacing, open-water swim skills, tactics, weather conditions and, of course, some excellent suggestions on how best to both set up and execute a decent transition.
